Terms of service

Vanometry is a planning tool for vehicle conversions. This page is the agreement for using it. We've written it to be read, not to be skimmed past, so it's in plain language and it's as short as we could make it.

Agreeing to this

By using Vanometry or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, don't use Vanometry. If you're using it on behalf of a company, you're confirming you have the authority to agree for that company.

Who you're dealing with

Vanometry is operated by Fungibility LLC, a Florida limited liability company. Where these terms say "we," "us," or "Vanometry," they mean Fungibility LLC.

A Vanometry Pro charge appears on your card statement as VANOMETRY.COM. Receipts come from Stripe on our behalf.

Your account

The editor works without an account. You need one only to sync designs across devices or buy Pro. Sharing a build works with or without one.

• Give us an email address you actually read. Confirmations, sign-in links, and the heads-up before your Pro access ends go there.
• You're responsible for your password and for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access, email support@vanometry.com and we'll help you shut it down.
• You need to be at least 13 to have an account. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission.
• An account is for one person. Don't share credentials.

You can close your account any time from the account menu in the editor. What that deletes is spelled out in the privacy policy.

What you can do with it

Use it for anything you like, personal or commercial. Plan your own conversion, plan a customer's, or run a build business off it. The designs you make are yours to use however you want, including in work you're paid for. We don't take a cut and we don't need credit.

Your designs stay yours

You own what you make: the layout, the dimensions, the title, and any prices or notes you enter. Nothing here transfers that to us.

To run the service we need permission to hold it. When you save a design to your account or share a build, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, and display that content for the purpose of operating Vanometry: syncing it to your devices, rendering it in the editor, generating your exports, and serving a shared build to anyone who opens the link. That is the entire scope of it. We don't use your designs in marketing without asking you first, and we don't sell them.

Share links are public. Anyone with the URL can open a shared build, walk it in 3D, and remix it, without an account. Share pages aren't indexed by search engines, but a link that gets forwarded works for whoever receives it. Don't put anything private in a build title.

The license lasts as long as the content does. Delete a design, or your account, and our permission to hold it ends with it.

What's ours

Vanometry itself stays ours: the editor, the vehicle shells and templates, the component catalog and its data, the 3D models, the blueprint and plan-set layouts, the site, the name, and the measuring-bracket mark. It's yours to use through the product, not to take out of it. Concretely: don't copy the catalog or the vehicle data into another product, scrape the site in bulk, resell access, or reverse engineer the app.

Using it fairly

Short list. Don't:

• Break the law with it, or use it to plan something illegal.
• Put anything in a design or a build title that's abusive, hateful, sexual, or somebody else's private information.
• Use someone else's copyrighted material in a build.
• Hammer the service with automated traffic, or work around the free plan's design limit.
• Probe, break, or interfere with the service, or with anyone else's account.

If you believe something on a share link infringes your copyright, email support@vanometry.com with the link and what it copies. We'll take it down if you're right.

When we'd close an account

We can remove a shared build or close an account that breaks the rules above. We'll email you what happened and why. If we close a paid account for something you didn't do, we refund the rest of the term.

If we ever shut Vanometry down, we'll give at least 90 days notice by email, keep exports working through that window so nobody loses a build to our exit, and refund the unused part of any paid term.

Vanometry Pro

Vanometry Pro is a year of access: one payment of $39 switches Pro on for 12 months, and it never renews automatically. Nothing about your purchase lets us charge you again. Payments are processed by Stripe; Vanometry never receives or stores your card details.

We'll email you before your access ends. If you want another 12 months, you buy them the same way you bought the first, and buying before the current year ends adds the new 12 months onto its end date, so renewing early never costs you time. If you don't, Pro simply switches off: no design is deleted, every build stays openable and shareable, and you go back to the free plan's ten-design limit. There is nothing to cancel, because nothing renews.

Refunds: within 14 days of a charge, ask and we'll refund it in full, no questions. Reply to the Stripe receipt email for that charge. Beyond 14 days we don't refund the remainder of a year. Deleting your account ends its Pro access with it, so if you're inside the refund window, ask for the refund before you delete.

Pro is sold as it exists today. Features described as planned or "on the drawing board" are our intentions, not commitments, and we won't charge Pro users extra for them if they ship inside a paid term. The price of a future year may differ from what you paid; whatever it is will be stated plainly before you buy.

Features that are free today stay free: the editor, share links, the parts list and its product links, the blueprint download, and ten synced cloud designs. We don't move existing free capabilities behind Pro.

Measure before you build

Vanometry is a planning tool. We work hard to keep vehicle templates, component dimensions, and layouts accurate and true to scale, but real vans vary by model year, trim, upfitter package, and the quirks of any individual vehicle, and errors in our data are possible.

Before you cut, drill, order materials, or commit money to a build, verify every dimension against your actual vehicle and components with a tape measure. The plan comes from the tool; the responsibility for checking it comes from you.

The same goes for the dollar figures. They're our own rough budget estimates for planning, not retailer prices, and not quotes. Confirm the current price at the retailer before you buy.

No warranty

Vanometry is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't promise that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the data in it is accurate or complete. Some states don't allow these exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.

Limit of liability

This is the part worth reading twice. A conversion is a big spend and Vanometry is a planning tool that costs at most $39 a year, so what it can be held responsible for has to stay in proportion to that.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Fungibility LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, wasted materials, rework, delay, or the cost of a build that didn't go to plan, even if we were told those outcomes were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Vanometry is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything.

Some states don't allow limiting liability for certain kinds of harm, and nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.

Changes to these terms

Vanometry is in active development and these terms will change with it. The date at the top of this page says when they last did. If a change materially affects you, we'll email account holders before it takes effect. Using Vanometry after a change takes effect means accepting it. If you'd rather not, close your account, and if you're inside a paid term when it lands, ask and we'll refund what's left of it.

Florida law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising out of them or out of your use of Vanometry goes to the state or federal courts located in Florida, and both of us consent to that venue.

These terms, along with the privacy policy and the affiliate disclosure, are the whole agreement between you and Fungibility LLC about Vanometry. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force. If we don't enforce something right away, we haven't given up the right to enforce it later.
