Dimensions are the bare interior from Morgan Olson’s published body specs: the 95-inch aluminum body runs 93 inches inside, height is the 85-inch FedEx-spec roof, and length is the flat cargo floor behind the driver. The planner accounts for insulation and paneling when it derives the finished interior, and you can replace any number with your own measurements. Payload figures are a dealer listing for the 18-footer and estimates for the shorter bodies.
What to know
A walk-through cab
The floor runs flat and continuous from the driver’s seat into the cargo box, with about seven feet of standing height the whole way. The cab doors slide into pockets in the first 32 inches of each side wall, so entry is through the cab or the 60-inch rear roll-up, and the templates leave the cab end open.
Wheel boxes set the back half
The rear wheel boxes run 44 inches long and intrude 26 inches from each side, leaving a 41-inch aisle between them. The templates place them where Morgan Olson’s specs put them for each length, so a bed platform or garage has to clear them, the same as in the truck.
Flat aluminum walls
The walls are vertical aluminum slabs, so the full 93-inch width runs from the floor to the roof-corner radius and cabinets sit flush without scribing to a curve. At 93 inches you can sleep crosswise, and the 85-inch FedEx-spec roof gives more headroom than a high-roof van.

Which step vans are in the planner?+
14, 16, and 18-foot Morgan Olson and Utilimaster walk-in bodies on the Freightliner MT45 chassis, the sizes FedEx runs as the P700 and P1000. Length is the flat cargo floor behind the driver. If yours is different, enter the interior length, width, and height from your own tape measure, and the grid, snapping, and payload math follow your numbers.
Is a bread truck the same thing as a step van?+
Yes. Step van, walk-in van, and bread truck all name the same vehicle: an aluminum body with a flat floor you stand and walk in, built by Morgan Olson (formerly Grumman Olson) or Utilimaster, most often on the Freightliner MT45 chassis the templates model. Retired FedEx and delivery-fleet trucks are the common way to buy one.
Will the dimensions match my truck?+
The templates state the 93-inch interior width and the 85-inch FedEx-spec roof from Morgan Olson’s published body specs. An 81-inch roof also exists, and older bodies vary, so measure your own truck and replace any number. The templates are starting points.
